John Denver Celebration

MUSIC ALERT! MUSIC ALERT! Aspen in October is right around the corner - it's time to make our plans to get together and celebrate the life and music of JOHN DENVER! You're cordially invited to join me for an evening to do just that -- listen to and sing John's music at the top of our lungs like some sort of big JD-loving choir! What a wonderful, vast catalog of unique and fantastic songs John left us -- let's dig into it! I'll be playing a 2-1/2 hour set on Thursday, Oct 5th, sharing some of your favorite songs. Also a few of MY own favorites, whether you like them or not(!) Joining me onstage this year will be a few guest musicians for a song or three. This year I'll be going for a more simple acoustic sound, with just vocals and guitars for light accompaniment. When asked about the simple, straightforward nature of his music in an era of 70's classic rock and disco, John once said, "I prefer the art of gentle musical persuasion." That philosophy has guided my musical career and remains my favorite style. I hope you'll set aside an extra $20 so you can attend my show!
